SUMMARY:Reasonable Suspicion Recognition Training for Supervisors
DESCRIPTION:At the end of each training session, the attendee will:\n\nKnow some of the behavioral, physical, and emotional signs and impacts of drug and alcohol use on an individual as well as:\n\nRecognize paraphernalia associated with the use of drugs\nBecome aware of the negative impact of various levels of alcohol concentration in the human body by using learning tools (e.g., beer goggles)\nRecognize other signs of potential substance misuse/use in the workplace\nIdentify some of the dangers associated with the usage of drugs and alcohol\n\n\n Learn different evaluation methods as well as documentation procedures\nUnderstand current trends and how they impact safety in the workplace\n\n \nThis training meets regulatory requirements for DOT compliance as well as for state and company policy mandates. Participants will receive a manual for future reference, which includes information presented during the workshop, a sample documentation form, and sample wording. A certificate of completion will also be provided to each participant.\nThis program is being presented by Missouri State University’s efactory and Small Business Development Center, Tomo, and Higginbotham Insurance and Financial Services.\n
