General

Where are you located?
The efactory is located inside the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center at 405 North Jefferson Avenue, Springfield, MO 65806.

What are your hours?
We are open Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. excluding Missouri State University holidays. Depending on their membership level, most members have 24/7 access to the building.

Can you help me with my business?
Absolutely. It's our goal to make Springfield, Missouri the best place in the country to start and grow a business. We assist entrepreneurs through office space, training events, consulting, office hours, and more.

Where should I park?
There is a guest parking lot directly in front of our building. There is also street parking along Jefferson Avenue and other streets nearby.

Can I take a tour or talk to someone to learn more?
We offer community tours each Friday at 10:00 a.m.

Is the efactory part of Missouri State University?
Yes. We're proud to be a Missouri State University program and to be part of the IDEA Commons district, Missouri State University's vision for an urban innovation park.

Coworking

What is coworking?
Coworking is a flexible workspace option that brings together startup founders, small business owners, freelancers and remote workers to share a common workspace and build their networks.

What is the difference between a dedicated and floating desk?
Floating desk members bring their laptop, tablet, etc. with them to the building each time and take everything with them when they leave at the end of the day. Floating desk members have Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. access. Dedicated desk members can pick a desk, set up monitors, leave notebooks and keyboards, etc. Dedicated desk members have 24/7 access.

If my business partner and I are both only here part-time, can we share one membership?
Unfortunately, no. Each individual must have their own coworking membership if they plan to use the space. However, if one of you will be present more than the other, you may want to get a monthly membership for one and day passes for the other. Day passes are $20 each or 10 passes for $100.

Does each person on my team have to have a membership?
If your team member will be working out of the efactory, then yes. However, if your team member only comes in for a meeting every so often, that person is considered your guest and does not need a membership.

What if I have clients or partners coming in for a short meeting? Do they need a membership or a day pass?
If your client or team member is coming in for a scheduled meeting in a conference room, he or she does not need a membership nor a day pass.

How does membership billing work?
If you join coworking in the middle of a month you’ll receive a prorated rate for the rest of that month. Members are then billed on the 15th of each month for the following month. Payment is made online via credit card or electronic check and recurring payments can be set up.

Do I have to sign a long-term lease when I become a member?
No. All coworking memberships are on a month-to-month basis.

Can I receive mail at the efactory if I'm a coworking member?
Coworking members may receive mail/packages and use 405 North Jefferson Avenue, Springfield, MO 65806 as their listed address.

Private Offices

What are the lease terms for private offices?
All private offices come with a 12 month lease commitment. Once the first year is fulfilled, companies may terminate their lease at any point as long as they provide 30 days' notice in writing to efactory staff.

How large are offices and what do they cost?
Offices range in size from 150 to 1,300 square feet. Our 150 square foot offices lease for $300/month. All other offices are $15/per square foot. (Ex: A 500 square foot office would be 500 x 15 = $7,500/annually or $625/month).

Can any company lease an office?
We have industry restrictions on our private offices due to the grant funding our center received to revitalize the building. We lease private offices to companies working in: manufacturing, health sciences, logistics and supply chain management and technology (IT, software, energy solutions, agri-tech).
