Founder and former CEO of Red Monkey Foods – Mr. Brinkhoff founded Red Monkey Foods in 2002 with a shoe string budget of $40,000 and a passion to compete as a national player in the spice and seasoning category. Red Monkey Foods became a leader in offering gourmet, private label spice programs to national grocery retailers. Mr. Brinkhoff built Red Monkey Foods into a multi-million-dollar business with 160 employees when it was sold to a private equity firm in 2017.
Mr. Brinkhoff graduated in 1997 with a BS in finance from the University of Colorado – Boulder, where he took a job as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Bristol Myers Squibb, followed by joining the pharma startup Takada Pharmaceuticals in 1999. Prior to starting Red Monkey Foods, Mr. Brinkhoff joined several founders of DMCare, Inc, an online diabetes management start up, where he served many rolls in business development, while studying under several established entrepreneurs from Harvard and John Hopkins.
