We are excited to announce the launch of Rosie! We’re partnering with The Network on this initiative to help support, assist and serve as an advocate network for current and prospective female founders, business owners and leaders in the Greater Springfield area.
The goal of Rosie is to help connect, partner, collaborate and continue to increase the support and access to resources for women as it relates to professional development, business assistance and leadership. “I’m excited to be able to put additional resources into helping current and prospective female business owners and leaders in Springfield. As a female cofounder of a tech startup, I have greatly benefited from advocates and mentors and want to bring that same support system to other women in our community,” said Rachel Anderson, Entrepreneurial Specialist at The eFactory.
The Missouri State University Foundation received a $10,000 grant from Women’s Foundation for The eFactory to make this initiative possible. “We are very honored to be a recipient of a grant from Women’s Foundation. They have been part of meaningful initiatives producing real change in promoting equality and opportunity for women. It is great to have their involvement in Springfield,” said Anderson.
As a Rosie member, you will be connected to an advocate and mentorship network, business and professional development resources, events, board training and a board pipeline program. “As a leading resource for young professionals in Springfield, The Network is excited to partner with The eFactory for Rosie. The opportunity to connect young women to a network of founders and business leaders for inspiration and mentorship aligns directly with our mission of retaining and engaging great young professionals in our region,” said Paige Oxendine, Program Coordinator for The Network, Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
Rosie is for ALL ages and backgrounds. If you are a current or prospective female founder, business owner or leader in the Greater Springfield area, you should join and be connected with a network of amazing women.
