Emily Melton is the Administrative Specialist II at efactory, an entrepreneurship and business resource center that is a part of Missouri State University.
Emily graduated from Missouri State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Music and has since worked in a variety of roles, including Safety Specialist within the Risk Management department at the O’Reilly Corporate office and most recently, as a Patient Advocate at Jordan Valley Community Health Center. She is passionate about investing in the people of Springfield and providing opportunities for community enrichment.
Outside of efactory, Emily spends most of her time performing and creating music. She is a member of the Queen City Chorale, Springfield’s newest community-based choral ensemble, which performs numerous concerts a year throughout Missouri. She has also performed both domestically and internationally with the Missouri State University Chorale, and was a founding member of Missouri State’s Multicultural Ensemble as well. Emily was the former Music Director for Missouri State University’s premier all-gender a cappella group, The Hibernotes, with whom she won numerous awards for both performance and music arrangement.
