Lifelong Springfieldian Emily Denniston joins the efactory team this week. She’s serving as the first ever Director of Community Engagement and Operations.
Many of you may recognize her from her years at the Springfield Chamber of Commerce. As the Vice President of Public Affairs, she said she “advocated on behalf of the business community at the local, state and federal levels for a climate that supports and encourages business growth. I also had a chance to work with business community in several ways including helping to lead the Chamber’s annual Community Leadership Visit.”
We want you to get to know a little bit more about her and what makes her smile.
What is something you love to do outside of work:
I love spending time with family and friends (and dogs). My wife and I love to be outside and active and find new ways to explore and enjoy the beauty of the Ozarks.
We are expecting our first child this spring so I am guessing that will begin to consume much of my outside of work time!
What’s on your bucket list:
We have had an Ireland/Scotland trip in the works for a couple of years, but life keeps getting in the way! I hope sooner rather than later we can make that happen.
What excites you about the efactory:
It has been incredible to see the impact the efactory has had on the community in just the last decade. I can’t imagine where the Springfield area would be without its presence, but it is also so young and full of limitless potential.
I am excited to be a part of that and for the chance to serve the business community and the region in new ways.
New to being a Bear
I love this community and am thrilled to join the efactory at Missouri State University as a Bear!
