It's time to

Daylight Jordan Creek

Stay up to date on progress & impact.

Where to Park

Get ready for a breath of fresh air, because the Renew Jordan Creek project is underway! We’re talking more green space, sparkling creek views & a whole lotta “wow” for our little corner of the world.

But before we can all daydream creekside, we’ll have some changes to parking as construction impacts our area.

We’ve got you & your guests covered, though.

Construction Timeline:

Phase 1 of the daylighting effort will construct a new open, naturalized channel along approximately 1,000 linear feet of Jordan Creek and will restore adjacent land as green space with native riparian plantings.

  • Starting May 20, 2024: Brick City Lots 45 – 46 closed for construction.
  • Fall 2024: Water Street between Campbell & Boonville will close to traffic permanently (to make way for a beautiful pedestrian boulevard).
  • Fall 2024: Water Street, between Jefferson & Boonville, will close to through traffic for a few months.
  • Fall 2024: Campbell Avenue will close to through northbound traffic between Water & Mill Streets. This closure is expected to last up to one year.
  • Spring 2025: Olive Street will close between Campbell & Patton. This closure should last approximately one month.
  • Fall 2025: Boonville will close to traffic between Water & Mill Streets. Parking Lot 47 will be unavailable, but alternate parking will be available.

What is Renew Jordan Creek?

Envisioned to serve as an urban amenity within Springfield, the project will encourage private redevelopment in IDEA Commons.
