Looking forward to taking the national stage in October.
Some news is just too good to keep quiet: Missouri State University’s efactory has been named a national finalist for the 2025 University Economic Development Association (UEDA) Awards of Excellence. The awards spotlight the top university-based economic development initiatives in the entire country across Talent, Innovation, Place, and Engaged University. We landed in the top three nationwide in the Engaged University category.
Why It Matters
By bridging the gap between academic learning and workforce development and facilitating unique partnerships that benefit both students and community stakeholders, we’re addressing the regional challenge of workforce retention and employer access to skilled talent. As the front door of the university for employers, we’re uniquely positioned to make connections and facilitate conversations.

Next Stop: UEDA Summit
We’ll be taking the stage at the 2025 UEDA Summit: Launching Partnerships for Prosperity to share our story with leaders from across the country. And yes—we’ll be bringing that efactory energy to the national stage.
Final Word
Being a finalist is a big deal. But for us, the real win is watching students thrive, entrepreneurs grow, and employers find the talent they need. Cheers to innovative partnerships, bold ideas, and the people who make it all possible.
