The Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) is excited to announce the hiring of Lance Coffman as the program’s newest full-time regional small business consultant. Lance is joining a team of dedicated small business consultants who serve hundreds of business owners annually through trainings and one-on-one consultation.
If you’re thinking “Hey, that guys looks familiar!”, you’d be right. Lance is no stranger to The eFactory and has spent the last ten months on the SBTDC team as a part-time consultant. He’s met with more than 100 current or potential business owners during that time, and works with many of them on an ongoing basis. His move to a full-time regional position will allow him to spend even more time serving clients in SBTDC’s ten county service area.
It’s not hard for Lance to imagine himself on the other side of the table when meeting with small business owners. He’s personally started and managed four business, two of which are still operational. Lance draws on those experiences regularly when helping clients with marketing strategies, website and ecommerce improvements, executive coaching, and more.
As a consultant Lance gets to play a special role in helping business owners meet their goals. Being part of a big win is powerful stuff, and Lance says the excitement and energy of entrepreneurs is what makes it all worth while. He shared the quote below when asked about some of those recent client wins:
“After a few months of working with a client on their ecommerce platform, their sales have seen a big increase and their costs have been reduced, as well.”
Lance holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a management certificate from Missouri State University (Go Bears!) along with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management.
