When those strengths come together around a shared goal, the result can be more than a successful project. It can create opportunities for students, address workforce needs, advance research and strengthen the community .
That’s why efactory is proud to host Connecting with Missouri State University: Impactful Community & Employer Partnerships, a special Public Affairs Pre-Conference Panel taking place at efactory as part of Missouri State University’s 23rd annual Public Affairs Conference.
The event, presented in partnership with Missouri State’s Citizenship and Service-Learning area, will bring together university and community voices to talk about what meaningful partnerships look like in practice and how organizations can work more intentionally with Missouri State to create shared impact.
Bringing the Community In
As part of Missouri State University, efactory has a unique role in connecting the university with the businesses, entrepreneurs and organizations that make up our region.

There are plenty of ways organizations can work with a university. But simply creating a connection doesn’t necessarily create a meaningful partnership.
The most successful collaborations are built around shared goals.
During the panel, speakers will explore questions many businesses and organizations are asking:
- What makes a partnership sucessful?
- How can we create opportunities that benefit students, organizations and the community?
- How can the university continue to work to meet the needs of employers?
Panelists will also share real-world examples of collaborations that are creating value for students, employers and the community.
Connecting Campus and Community
Missouri State University has an incredible breadth of knowledge, talent and resources. Our community has an equally valuable understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing businesses, employers and organizations every day.
