efactory clients named Excellence in Technology finalists

Basically the Oscars

It’s awards season! We know what you’re thinking. “Is the efactory staff team nominated for an Oscar?!”

Not exactly. We’re headed somewhere even cooler – the third annual Excellence in Technology Awards.

This year’s slate of finalists is stacked with efactory clients. We’re super excited to see these folks recognized for all their hard work.

2019 finalists

Community Impact

The first finalist in the Community Impact category is our neighbor to the north, Jordan Valley Innovation Center (JVIC). We love seeing this fellow IDEA Commons program recognized for their work to make SGF a more innovative community.

The efactory is also a finalist in the Community Impact category! Trust us, nobody was more surprised than us. We’re honored to be in the running and are equally excited for dessert at the awards banquet.

This group of finalists is rounded out by The Geek Foundation, led by local superheroes Krista Peryer and Miranda Provance.

Enterprise Technology

We’re thrilled to see efactory client EmergencMe recognized in the Enterprise Technology category. The platform is simple to use and can help save precious seconds in emergency situations. We like that!

Most Innovative Startup

This category is our natural favorite, since all three finalists are members of the efam. In fact, all three were part of our most recent accelerator cohort.

Easy Access Hunts is hard at work revolutionizing the way hunters find and book private land. They’ve built their platform for the ground up and offer annual, seasonal, and day leases for hunters.

How’s that resolution to get super fit working out for you? If you’re struggling to get or stay in shape the husband and wife team behind FiTbyPhase are here to help. Their pocket coach mobile app gives users exercise plans, nutritional guidance, and support.

Last but certainly not least is SelectSitter. The mobile application allows parents to see who friends in their social network are using for childcare. You can find and book trusted sitters right from your phone. Never scramble for a sitter again!

IT Executive of the Year

We work with some pretty stellar founders and executives here in the building. Mark Whisler is one of them, and he’s a finalist for the IT Executive of the Year.

Mark is a co-founder of Added Innovation, a software consulting company that has been operating out of the efactory since 2017. He’s been busy serving clients while also helping their team more than double in size.

Dr. Shannon McMurtrey with Cart32 is another efactory client and finalist in this category. McMurtrey co-founded Cart32, creating one of the first commercial e-commerce platforms. Today they offer a full suite of digital services and solutions for business owners.

Engineer of the Year

The Added Innovation team is crushing it! Their team has a finalist in this category as well, with Austin Cummins being considered for the Engineer of the Year award.

Austin has been hard at work with Added Innovation since August of 2017 and previously held roles with Gravitate Solutions and Ozarks Technical Community College.

No small task

Organizing awards takes work. Cheers to the organizers (and two amazing efactory partners) Biz417 and the Association of IT Professionals (AITP).

We can’t wait to celebrate together at the Excellence in Technology awards dinner on February 28 at The Old Glass Place. Grab your tickets today!
