Innovate SOMO highlights a program in partnership with Edward Lowe Foundation.
With adequate resources, a small business can escalate from idea to venture quickly. As businesses continue to grow the employee base and revenue, business owners encounter new opportunities and uncertainties.
“We are excited to expand the Missouri SBDC Elevate program into our Innovate SOMO suite of services and throughout Missouri,” said Chrystal Irons, director of the Missouri SBDC at MSU.
Elevate is targeted toward existing companies with the capacity and aptitude for growth.
“It provides business owners with information and best practices to make educated decisions in light of their particular needs regarding employees, customers and markets,” Irons said. “Elevate will help these companies overcome challenges and harness opportunities for growth, enhancing the economic vitality in our local communities.”
Benefits of Elevate
- Share insights.
- Glean new perspectives.
- Learn best practices.
- Assess needs.
“The Missouri SBDC is excited to collaborate with efactory and codefi in support of the Innovate SOMO initiative,” said Ted Gutierrez, Missouri SBDC State Director. “We look forward to incorporating the Missouri SBDC ELEVATE program supporting our growing Missouri small businesses.”
Elevate uses the System for Integrated Growth and PeerSpectives, two instruments of Edward Lowe Foundation.
In addition, Elevate participants will access the resources and business consultants through the Missouri SBDC.
“One of the best parts about Elevate is how the program is completely customized to each business,” said Lance Coffman, business consultant at efactory.
“Elevate allows company owners to identify pieces of their business that prevent them from achieving the growth they want. The program then provides a team of experts focused on their specific needs to help break past barriers and take their company to the next stage.”
