Simply the Best: The Students Behind It All

Celebrating National Student Employment Week April 22.

Student employees play a vital role in shaping the experience of our campus and community. From supporting daily operations to contributing fresh ideas and energy, their work makes a lasting impact, and that’s what makes them simply the best!

Here’s a closer look at our incredible student team:

Graduate Assistants for the Missouri SBDC at Missouri State: Alex Calvert, Nima Lal

Operations Assistants: Alyssa Kuzara, Khiauna Gay, Shuja Bhatti

Marketing GA: Anel Nurmagambetova

Marketing Assistants: Aryan Bashunia, Maria Wendel

Training Assistants: Brayden Seiler, Oxana Tronina, Talan Seiler

Student Employment: Kayla Friend, McKenna Taylor, Noah Ridenour

What Do They Do? A Lot More Than You Think.

Student Employees for efactory help keep day-to-day operations on track by supporting meetings, events, and training programs. They also play a role in creating a welcoming, organized space for visitors while contributing to marketing efforts through social media, email, and visual content seen throughout the building.

Graduate Assistants support the work happening behind the scenes by assisting with research, classes, and program initiatives. Their contributions help bridge the gap between academics and real-world experience, creating meaningful learning opportunities for students.

“What I love most about my student employment is the collaborative environment.” Aryan Bashunia  shared. “It’s given me the chance to work on meaningful projects and marketing campaigns that genuinely showcase the best of the Missouri State and Springfield community.”

Student employees are simply the best because they bring so much more than just their time — they bring passion, creativity, and a willingness to grow. Whether they’re balancing academics and work, collaborating on meaningful projects, or building skills for their future careers, their impact is felt across everything we do. They show up, step up, and make a difference every day. That’s exactly why we appreciate them so much.

In celebration of National Student Employment Week, we’ll be hosting the Student Employee of the Year Reception on April 22 to recognize the outstanding nominees honored by their employers. Be sure to show your appreciation next week!
