Meaningful Internships

Going for Growth

The program supports early-stage companies by giving them access to critical talent. Interns can help drive projects forward, tackle pressing needs, and bring fresh perspectives to company initiatives, all while gaining valuable insights into the entrepreneurial world.

Program Structure and Funding

The Entrepreneurship Intern Pilot Program aims to match five MSU students with five efactory incubator member companies – at no cost. Thanks to funding from the Missouri Technology Corporation MOBEC grant, the pilot program and all student wages are fully funded, making this a risk-free way for member companies to gain valuable support.

Additionally, the Hatch Foundation, as part of their mission to support entrepreneurship in the region, will serve as the 2025 program sponsor.

Current funding enables the program to run through December 2026, providing two years of internship opportunities for both students and businesses. Interested in supporting this program or learning more about partnering with us? Contact Emily Denniston.

Great Game of Business

As part of our commitment to enriching the intern experience, we’re bringing the Great Game of Business into the program! This unique approach gives students additional insight into key business principles, adding a fun and interactive layer to the internship.

During group meetings, students will learn foundational concepts of the Great Game of Business, then put their knowledge into action with a hands-on group project designed to deepen their understanding. For their capstone, students will go a step further by identifying and pitching a custom “mini-game” strategy tailored to benefit their member companies — giving them the chance to make a real impact!
