Courtney Okello brings a wide-ranging background shaped by global service, government contracting, and hands-on healthcare experience. She began her career in cosmetology, a path that eventually took her to Uganda, where she trained students in a cosmetology trade school program at a rescue mission. Her time living and working internationally ignited her passion for travel, cultural connection, and community service.
Upon returning to the United States, Courtney joined her family’s company, Aerospace Manufacturing, serving as a Contracts Manager with a focus on defense government contracts. After the business was sold, she transitioned into healthcare, completing CoxHealth’s Medical Assistant program and spending the next three years in OB/GYN. Her work in women’s health strengthened her compassion, communication skills, and ability to remain calm and steady in high-pressure situations.
Outside of her professional life, Courtney is deeply devoted to her daughter, who remains the heart of her world. She also finds joy in strong friendships, good coffee, time outdoors, traveling, music, and songwriting.
Courtney also serves as the Step-Up Coordinator at her church, where she oversees volunteers and helps individuals discover their strengths and get connected in meaningful ways. She is passionate about empowering people to grow, thrive, and find purpose in the work they do — an enthusiasm she brings to every environment she’s part of.
