Katie Young graduated with a Bachelor's in Science in Recreation and Leisure Studies and a Master's in Student Affairs and started her career as a graduate assistant in the Student Employment Services office at Missouri State University in 2008. She moved into a position as the Coordinator for Student Employment from 2010-2013 and was involved on campus as a University Staff Ambassador, taught GEP 101 classes, and also served as President of the Midwest Association of Student Employment Administrators before moving out of state for a few years.
She is currently serving as a part time support role in Student Employment Services.
A native to the southwest Missouri area she grew up on Table Tock Lake and spent her summers around the lake and Branson area. She and her family enjoy the outdoors, traveling to the national parks across the US and internationally whenever possible.
