Tara Horton is the Assistant Director, Training and Development and a 25+ year employee of Missouri State University.
Prior to joining the university in February of 2000, Tara’s previous work experience includes media sales, marketing, advertising and public relations. Tara is a graduate of Oklahoma State University.
Tara serves the Ozark Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America as the Executive Board’s Vice President of Marketing, as a Springfield Little Theatre Education Angel and volunteer, is a Missouri State Bear Connection Mentor and a 2004 graduate of Missouri State's University Staff Ambassadors. In addition, Tara is the Staff Advisor for Missouri State's Alpha Chi Omega social sorority and an active member of Theta Kappa Theta the Southwest Missouri Alumnae organization for Alpha Chi Omega. She is also a proud graduate of Leadership Springfield's Signature Class 41.
