We help business owners in southwest Missouri launch and grow with expert advice from our team of business consultants. Consultants with the Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Missouri State University serve 16 counties in southwest Missouri, including satellite offices in Forsyth and West Plains. Consulting services are offered at no charge and can assist business owners at any stage.

Training & Workforce Development

Whether you are just getting started, a first-time manager or implementing innovative change, we are here to help. Our calendar includes a wide variety of programs and events designed for busy professionals and entrepreneurs. In addition to what’s on the calendar, we can work with you on custom training tailored to fit your needs.

We know workforce development begins in the classroom, and our team takes any opportunity to engage with students and connect them to real-world learning experiences. We’re proud to be home to both the IT/Technology Solutions and Business & Entrepreneurship strand of the GO CAPS program that brings high school juniors and seniors from 20+ regional districts to class at the efactory every day.

We also offer regular board service training opportunities for local women through Rosie, our program designed for female business owners and leaders in southwest Missouri.

Project Assistance

Our team works closely with business clients and Missouri State University classes on special projects throughout the year. These projects give business owners fresh insights while providing students with real-world experience and business insights. Undergraduate and graduate level classes work on projects related to marketing, management, and more.

Corporate Innovation

Innovation doesn’t only apply to startups. We regularly work with some of our region’s largest and most established companies to facilitate innovation and process improvement.
