Infrastructure Investment Will Expand Entrepreneurial Support through Facility Improvements at Missouri State’s efactory

Missouri Technology Corporation grant further strengthens environment for entrepreneurs, employers and communities.

Missouri State University’s efactory has been awarded a $200,000 Physical Infrastructure Grant from the Missouri Technology Corporation (MTC). Missouri State University is providing a $200,000 matching investment, bringing the total project investment to $400,000.

Following a prior MTC Physical Infrastructure grant award, this new award will support continued facility improvements and provide modern, collaborative spaces that advance innovation, business growth and workforce development.

Investing in the future of Missouri's entrepreneurs

The Physical Infrastructure Grant will fund efactory facility upgrades, creating more functional and welcoming spaces for entrepreneurs and startup companies, meetings, events and collaboration.

“Strong entrepreneurial ecosystems require places where ideas can be tested, partnerships can be formed, and businesses can grow,” said Travis Fitzwater, Executive Director at MTC. “MTC is proud to support efactory and continued investment in the infrastructure that helps entrepreneurs and communities thrive across Missouri.”

The investment reflects MTC’s continued commitment to strengthening the state’s innovation economy by supporting organizations like efactory that serve entrepreneurs and growing businesses.

These facility improvements will ensure the organization continues meeting the evolving needs of businesses and communities for years to come.

“We know that the spaces where people gather matter. This investment allows us to continue creating an environment where entrepreneurs, employers, students, and community partners can connect to resources and to one another and support their growth,” said Emily Denniston, Director of Community Engagement and Operations. “Every improvement we make is ultimately an investment in the people and businesses we serve, and we’re grateful to Missouri Technology Corporation for helping us continue that mission.”

The improvements are part of efactory’s ongoing commitment to creating an environment where entrepreneurs can access expert guidance, employers can strengthen their workforce, people can build in-demand skills, and organizations can come together to strengthen Missouri’s economy.
