Corrections/Jail Management Training Course for LE & Civilians – Day 2
This training provides corrections officers with a comprehensive foundation in use-of-force principles and practical response options within the corrections environment. Participants will review the legal and policy-based framework governing use of force, while developing hands-on skills in basic defensive tactics, proper handcuffing, and inmate restraint techniques. Instruction includes the safe and effective use of the tactical baton, with emphasis on control, officer safety, and proportional response.
The course also addresses critical officer survival concepts, including ambush awareness, choke hold defense, and methods for defending against weapon grabs. Through scenario-based instruction and mindset development, participants will strengthen situational awareness, decision-making under stress, and the development of a warrior mindset focused on preparedness, resilience, and survival in high-risk correctional settings.
